Documentary Edge Festival is New Zealand’s only and Australasia’s premiere international documentary film festival held annually in Auckland and Wellington.

Launched in 2005, Documentary Edge Film Festival showcases the very best documentary films from New Zealand and around the world.

Every year more than 10,000 people attend the Festival to watch a selection of 30 award-winning and critically acclaimed documentary films.

The Festival includes:
Question & Answer sessions with filmmakers/guests
Awards - recognising excellence and achievement
DocTalks and other special events
Docs for Schools - an education programme for schools

All the films in the Festival are in competition, the winners are announced at the Documentary Edge Awards.
