The Conference represents the creative, hardworking professionals who make and deliver content for all screens and all kinds of audiences. The Conference is where you can gain insights, business opportunities, and international partnerships and discover what’s on the horizon from leading media and entertainment executives.

This year’s highlights include:

Keynotes and In Conversations featuring inspirational keynote speakers and the biggest names in the business
Three in-depth Masterclasses featuring international and New Zealand creatives and program makers (running Friday the 13th of November: 9-12pm - bookings essential)
Pitch your next big idea to a room full of network execs, producers and production companies at the South Pacific Pictures’ Big Pitch Competition (during the Great Screenrights’ Lunch)
Roundtables where delegates can ask the questions they’ve always wanted to know from leading industry executives
Networking opportunities with local and international delegates and speakers at the Cocktail Party featuring the 18th Annual SPADA Industry Awards; and
“Market Place Live” [exclusive format ex-Film London] Facilitated by international creative expert Angus Finney
Market Place Live goes beyond the regular panel format, using an imagined project with made-up cast, director, producer, financing partners and distributors – allowing panellists to speak freely about their reactions and thought processes. As the story of the film unfolds, the panel will have no warning of the scenarios they are presented with, providing participants with unique access to the way they work and how they make decisions.

Rather than having them dish out advice, Market Place Live puts experts to the test and challenges them to take a hypothetical project on this journey – enabling participants to see how they would deal with the twists and turns of the contemporary industry landscape!
